New Opening Date

Due to the severe weather yesterday, the opening of the building has been re-scheduled for tomorrow, April 12, from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. Sausage biscuits, hamburgers, and hot dogs will be served free of charge throughout the day. Everyone is encouraged to drop by, have a free meal, and tour the new building. Also, the opening ceremony with Governor Beebe as the keynote speaker is scheduled for May 16, at 11:00 a.m.

Everyone is Invited

The new high school will be open from 8 a.m. until at least 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 10. There will be a dedication ceremony at 11 a.m. in the gymnasium with Governor Beebe scheduled to attend. Also, we will begin to serve hamburgers and hotdogs at 5 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to come out to the dedication or later in the day to have free food and see the new facilities.

Students in the Building

It has been a long process from the dream of a new building to getting students in the building but it has finally happened. We had all the students in the district from grades 7-12 in the new school for a day of getting used to the new surroundings and used to each other. It was wonderful to see our students having fun and interacting well with each other.

Public Opening

We have a public opening planned for April 10, starting at 8:00 a.m. and closing at 8:00 p.m. The highlight of the day will be a ceremony at 11:00 a.m. with Governor Beebe scheduled to attend. We encourage everyone to attend and enjoy the new building.

Nearing Completion

It has been a while since I posted any new pictures but the progress has gone well. We had hoped to take posession of the building by the end of January but it was just not possible. The contractors are still ahead of schedule but I think everyone is getting anxious to see the new building.
